| In their first match of the ICC Champions Trophy tournament, India defeated England by 4 wickets. Batting first, England were all out for 125 in 37 overs. India lost some quick wickets, but managed to reach the target in 29.3 overs. Munaf Patel won the Man of the Match award. |
