ICL to get $10mn from US firm

The coffers of the Indian Cricket League (ICL) are likely to swell further as an American company has pledged $10 million sponsorship to involve the non-resident Indian fans in the Essel Group venture.

America Inc, in a message from San Francisco, disclosed its plan to modernise cricket in India.

A delegation of America Inc will visit India on September 28 to finalise the plans, said Vikram Bajwa, who will officiate as ICL's secretary.
