Muneer Ahmed, a toy merchant operating from shop no. 5 in Russell Market, has been looking forward to today. That’s when he has been hoping to return to the shop that his family has operated for 45 years. Ahmed’s toy shop was one of the 124 gutted by a fire that raged through the 85-year-old market on February 25. It is presumed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
