Bajaj Auto bike sales decline marginally in April

Bajaj Auto today reported a marginal decline in motorcycle sales at 2,99,636 units in April 2014.
The company had sold 3,00,827 units in the corresponding month of previous year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.
BAL said exports were up 16% during the month at 1,50,714 units compared to 1,30,329 units in April 2013.

In the commercial vehicles category, its sales stood at 31,893 units, down 26%%, as against 43,351 units in the same month of the previous year.
Total vehicle sales of the company last month stood at 3,31,529 units, down 4%, as compared with 3,44,178 units in the same month a year ago, the statement said.
