BPCL Q4 net down 15% to Rs 351 crore

Bharat Petroluem Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has posted a 15.12 per cent decline in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 at Rs 351.4 crore compared with the corresponding previous period's Rs 414 crore.
 
Total income (net of excise) grew 13.31 per cent to Rs 16,110.8 crore from Rs 13,971.3 crore in the fourth quarter of 2003-04.
 
Net profit of BPCL went down by 43 per cent to Rs 965.8 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 1,694.6 crore the previous corresponding year.
 
Total income (net of excise) increased by 22 per cent to Rs 59,428.4 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 48,721.2 crore, a year ago.
 
The consolidated numbers showed that the company has posted a net profit (after minority interest) of Rs 1541.1 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 2033.9 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004.
 
Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 55786.7 crore in FY-04 to Rs 64784.6 crore for year ended March 31, 2005. The BPCL board has declared second interim dividend of 75 per cent for the financial year 2004-2005.
 
Pending receipt of necessary approvals, no effect of the proposed merger of Kochi Refineries Ltd with the company from the appointed date of April 01, 2004, has been given in the accounts, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
