1) Cuberoot Technologies raises nearly $0.5 million in funding:

Cuberoot Technologies, a data driven technology company, recently raised nearly $0.5 million from undisclosed investors. The funds will be used to scale up, expand its technology team, enhance product technology, investing in better infrastructure and strategic acquisitions, Cuberoot said in a statement.

2) Snapdeal’s ex-CPO Anand Chandrasekaran backs online lingerie brand Buttercups:

Bangalore-based online lingerie brand, Buttercups has raised an undisclosed amount in a fresh round of funding from Snapdeal’s ex-CPO Anand Chandrasekaran and existing investors Kanwaljit Singh and Manoj Varghese. The start-up claims to have doubled its customer acquisition in the past 12 months.

3) Brand Capital backs, an e-commerce platform for regional goods from across India that represents local culture, has received Rs 10 crore in funding from Brand Capital of Times Group. The portal sources unique products from their native places. These include sweets, namkeen, chocolates, bakery, spices, pickles, handicrafts, paintings, puja items, and herbal products from over 100 cities and 250 sellers.
