Doshion bags Rs 300 cr order

Ahmedabad-based Doshion Limited, a Rs 220-crore water management company, has bagged an order from Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd (RSMML) for setting up a 20-million litre per day (MLD) brackish water desalination plant at Kasnau-Matasukh Lignite Mines at Nagaur in Rajasthan.
The order, worth Rs 300 crore, will be executed by Doshion on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.
One of the largest producers of high-grade rock phosphate in the country, RSMML encountered a huge aquifer capable of producing considerable amount of brackish water while mining lignite.
Apart from installing for at least 15 years, Doshion will be responsible for design, engineering and procurement of the facility.
"This is our second BOOT project. Prior to this, we had installed India's first sea water reverse osmosis (RO) for supplying water to 300 villages of Ramnathpuram district of Tamil Nadu," said Ashit Doshi, managing director, Doshion Limited.
