Elgi Ultra to launch new grinders for hotels

Elgi Ultra Industries Limited (EUIL), part of Elgi Equipments Limited (EEL), is planning to launch new models of grinders for the hospitality industry.

Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of launching its new table-top grinder 'Perfect +', EEL managing director Jairam Varadaraj said, "We are in talks with a couple of hoteliers to engineer a solution for them, to build a compact system based on our expertise."

Elgi Ultra is planning to focus on home appliances products and on value segment. It is planning to introduce another kitchen appliance by the end of this year or early next year, he said, while declining to disclose the nature of the proposed product.

Varadaraj said that EUIL, which launched its table-top wet grinder variant 'Ultra Perfect+' in Chennai in February this year, had so far sold about 3,000 grinders.

The company expects to sell about 10,000 units during the current calender year, he added.
