Germany's Harting Group launches operations in India

Germany-based Harting Technology Group has announced beginning of its India operations in Chennai.

A company statement said that the launch of the company's business operations in India reinforced the importance of the country for Harting.

With a ready customer base in India due to its representation via dealers earlier, the Chennai office will now support the customers across the country. Setting up of India operations would enable direct customer interface and access to connectivity solutions and product knowledge, it added.

"Tamil Nadu has made rapid strides in manufacturing and information technology and has attracted a lot of foreign investments. Some of the world's leading companies have set up their base here. Hence, it was easy for us to decide to set up our base in Chennai," said Diemeter Harting, founder, Harting Technology Group.

The company will have sales office in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. The company will also be creating distribution channels to feed small customers.

With its vast experience and global reach, Harting expects to be a preferred partner for interconnections solutions in India in the field of machinery manufacturing, energy, transportation, telecommunications and factory automation.

The Harting Group develops customised solutions and products such as connectors for energy and data transmission applications including, mechanical engineering, rail technology, wind energy plants, factory automation and the telecom sector.
