HCL launches competition for B-School bloggers

Offers an opportunity to meet Vice Chairman and CEO Vineet Nayar

HCL Technologies has come out with a competition for blogging enthusiasts of B-Schools under the Ideathon 2012 platform.

The competition will require business school students to write a blog on the future of management. The winners will be given an opportunity to interact with Vineet Nayar, Vice Chairman and CEO, HCL Technologies over an one hour power lunch.

Any business school student, passing out in either 2013 or 2014 can be a part of this competition. The last date for entries is 12 noon, 29 October 2012.

At the end of the contest, HCL technologies would post winners in the most popular blog category and jury's choice blog entry. The most popular blog entry would be judged via a combination of shares, tweets and comments on the post. The jury’s choice blog entry will be selected by their panel of judges based on relevance to the topic and originality of thought.

 

In order to participate, students would need to submit their entry online. Each entry will have to be followed by some simple details about the individual. Though everyone is free to submit their blog entries, HCL Technologies would be evaluating the blog posts of only those B-School students, who are passing out in either 2013 or 2014.

To be effective, students have been advised to be concise and concrete in their ideas, thoughts and stories to sustain the attention of reviewers as well as readers. Further, students need to think out of box the by challenging the management principles of today.

Once the blog entry is submitted, students would need to share it across their social media network to get the buzz going to garner support.

Students have also been asked to collaborate, to go through other entries and provide suggestions and comments.
