HUL Q2 net jumps 32% to Rs 566 cr

Hindustan Unilever (HUL), an FMCG major, posted a 32.10 per cent jump in its net profit of Rs 566.12 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 2010.
The company had a net profit of Rs 428.53 crore during the corresponding quarter a year ago, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's total income increased by 12.16 per cent to Rs 4,841.49 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 4,316.51 crore.
The board declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 per equity share of face value of Re 1 each for the financial year ending March 31, 2010.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs 306, up 1.4 per cent at 1420 hrs on the BSE.
