Mahindra Powerol, the power genset division of utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra, will launch Mahindra Powerol Plazas (MPP) to strengthen its presence across its key markets.
The concept of MPP is to provide quick, seamless and quality after sales support to its retail and enterprise customers. B2B segment accounts for almost 65 per cent of its client profile.
“We already have 2 MPPs in Meerut and Lucknow and soon more such concepts would be rolled out in association with our dealers,” company’s executive vice president Ashok Sharma said.
MPP is a hub-and-spoke model, wherein MPP is the hub and the spokes are the service dealers attached to it.
Meanwhile, Mahindra Powerol is eyeing a growth of over 15 per cent during the current financial year, up from Rs 1,000 crore in 2009-10, when the company sold 50,000 units.
“The organised power genset segment is estimated at Rs 7,000 crore per annum and growing by 10-12 per cent,” he informed. The organised segment accounts for 60 per cent of the consolidated market space, since there are a large number of local players also.
Mahindra Powerol is the leading provider of diesel gensets to mobile phone towers. It manufactures gensets ranging from 5 to 320 kVA with prices starting from around Rs 1 lakh.
