New projects to continue: FACT chief

Gurdial Singh Mangat, chairman and managing director of the National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) said that there would be major changes in the feritiliser policy during the next financial year.

Refusing to elaborate further on the proposed changes, he said that they would be beneficial to the industry as a whole.

Talking to reporters here after taking over the additional charge of the Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT), he said that the change of guard in the company (FACT) would not affect the ongoing diversification and development projects.

"All the new initiatives that have the Centre's approval will continue earnestly. There are problems in the functioning of FACT, but this will not affect the new projects especially the overseas initiatives," He said.
