Parrys in the black in Q3

Parrys Confectionery (PCL) has announced a net profit of Rs 4 lakh for the third quarter ended December 31, 2003 as against a net loss of Rs 1,12 crore in the corresponding period of last year.

Sales rose 12.9 per cent to Rs 25.16 crore (Rs 22.28 crore). Turnover, inclusive of other income, was Rs 25.27 crore (Rs 22.44 crore).

For the nine months ended December 31, 2003, the company's turnover grew 4.8 per cent to Rs 71.97 crore.
