Tata AIG Life income up 84%

Tata AIG Life Insurance Company's half yearly total premium income jumped by a whopping 84 per cent at Rs 355.50 crore for the period ending September 30, 2005, from Rs 193.43 crore a year earlier.

The first year premium posted an increase of 68 per cent at Rs 189.25 crore from 112.33 crore in the corresponding perid of the preceeding fiscal. It has covered over 3,51,293 lives during April-September 2005, an increase of 127 per cent over the same period last year.

Geometric Soft net up at Rs 3.38 cr

Geometric Software Solutions Company has posted net profit at Rs 3.38 crore on a consolidated basis for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005, a drop of 46.52 per cent, compared with Rs 6.32 crore recorded during the same period of the previous financial year.

The group's total income rose to Rs 50.85 crore during the quarter under review, from Rs 40.84 crore posted during the comparable quarter of previous year.
