WAPCOS pays highest ever dividend

Water and Power Consultancy Ltd, a 'mini ratna' under the Water Resources Ministry today paid a dividend of Rs 3.5 crore, its highest ever, to the government.     

The dividend is 175 per cent of its paid-up capital for the year 2008-2009, which is the highest ever since its inception in 1969.

According to official sources, the company has declared a composite score of 1.0, which is the highest achievable score according to the MOU evaluation system of the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.     

 

It provides consultancy services in critical areas of water resources, power and infrastructure development. It has successfully completed consultancy assignments in 40 countries and is registered with various international funding agencies for participating in the funded projects.
