The Special Court trying the disproportionate assets case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today directed her and three other accused to be personally present on all days of arguments from October 30.
Judge G B Mudigoudar passed the "conditional" order, allowing exemption from personal appearance today.
The Judge directed that since arguments are being heard, the four -- Jayalalithaa, Sasikala, Ilavarasi and V N Sudhakaran -- should be personally present as to know what's happenings on all days of arguments, without fail, and adjourned the case to October 30.
Mudigoudar holds "concurrent charge" as the previous trial judge M S Balakrishna retired on September 30.
The Supreme Court on Monday quashed the Karnataka government order removing G Bhavani Singh as Special Public Prosecutor for conducting trial in the case.
The apex court, while disposing of petitions filed by Jayalalithaa and three others, had asked the Karnataka High Court to consider extending the services of Balakrishna for continuing the trial.
The four had challenged the removal of the SPP and sought a direction to extend the services of Balakrishna.
