Odisha chit fund scam: CBI continues raids on second day

The agency raids residence of another director of chit fund company Navadiganta Capital Services

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided the residence of another director of chit fund company Navadiganta Capital Services Limited (NCSL). CBI officials today raided the residence of Kartika Parida as a part of investigation and seized several key documents.

Registered with Registrar of Companies in 2011, the company has duped scores of gullible investors, collecting crores of rupees.

On Thursday, the probe agency has raided the residence of another director Pradeep Kumar Patnaik along with the houses of three politicians. The politicians are former BJP MLA from Khariar Hitesh Kumar Bagartti, Ramachandra Hansda, BJD MP from Mayurbhanj and former BJD MLA from Keonjhar, Subarna Naik.
