Deviopatan Divisional Commissioner R P Arora has also been put on the wait list and Sanjeev Saran, principal secretary, Infrastructure, has been posted in his place.
The government, which is facing flak from the opposition parties over power crisis, had on Wednesday put Uttar Pradesh Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Chairman and Managing Director Kamran Rizvi on the wait list.
Sanjay Agarwal, principal secretary, power, has been given additional charge of the department.
