'Tremendous scope for CAs in KPO'

There is a tremendous scope for the chartered accountants (CAs) in the Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) industry and India is well placed to a grab a chunk of the business.

"Our country has the largest pool of CAs and knowledge professionals in the world. All you need to make a splash in the KPO industry is to launch a collaborative approach by building bigger organisations," Mphasis Technologies president Anant R Koppar on Friday told a seminar here.

The seminar was organised by the Bangalore branch of the South Indian Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Koppar was of the opinion that an attitude change among CAs towards globalisation can create multiple opportunities. BPO is a $7.30 billion industry at present.
