Andhra varsity approves Aptuit training programme

| Hyderabad-based Aptuit Laurus, an associate of Aptuit Inc of the US, has stated that its three-month intensive training programme for the campus-recruited chemistry postgraduates aimed at working in pharmaceutical R&D operations has been approved by the Andhra University. |
| Titled as "Advanced Certificate Course in Pharmaceutical Industrial R&D Operations and Practices" (APROP), the training programme covers a wide range of topics in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, good laboratory practices (GLP), current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), intellectual property (IP), documentation practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and communication skills. |
| The module includes three days of classroom training and two days of laboratory training every week. Training faculty comprises experienced R&D scientists of the company, guest speakers from research organisations, universities and other pharma companies. |
| According to Aptuit chief executive officer C Satyanarayana, the company had initiated this kind of a training programme for the first time in the Indian pharmaceutical industry and it would help in developing a strong knowledge base to leverage the global potential available in the R&D space for the Indian pharmaceutical industry. |
