Andhra varsity approves Aptuit training programme

Hyderabad-based Aptuit Laurus, an associate of Aptuit Inc of the US, has stated that its three-month intensive training programme for the campus-recruited chemistry postgraduates aimed at working in pharmaceutical R&D operations has been approved by the Andhra University.
 
Titled as "Advanced Certificate Course in Pharmaceutical Industrial R&D Operations and Practices" (APROP), the training programme covers a wide range of topics in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, good laboratory practices (GLP), current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), intellectual property (IP), documentation practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and communication skills.
 
The module includes three days of classroom training and two days of laboratory training every week. Training faculty comprises experienced R&D scientists of the company, guest speakers from research organisations, universities and other pharma companies.
 
According to Aptuit chief executive officer C Satyanarayana, the company had initiated this kind of a training programme for the first time in the Indian pharmaceutical industry and it would help in developing a strong knowledge base to leverage the global potential available in the R&D space for the Indian pharmaceutical industry.
