Maharashtra deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal today said that it was unfortunate that Republican Party of India (RPI) leader Ramdas Athawale was defeated in Lok Sabha elections from Shirdi constituency.
"Some established party leaders had worked against official candidates both in Nashik and Dindori Lok Sabha constituencies as a result of which sitting NCP MLA and Lok Sabha candidate from Dindori Narhari Zirwal has defeated by BJP candidate Harishchandra Chavan," Bhujbal told reporters here.
District NCP President will sent his report on the issue to the party high command, Bhujbal said.
The minister also said that his first preference is to complete the four lane Mumbai-Agra National Highways, other developments in Nashik, solve problems of rural, tribal sectors in the five-year period.
