Bhutan PM to attend KIIT varsity convocation

Lyonchhen Jigmi Y. Thinley, Prime Minister, Government of Bhutan will attend the eighth annual convocation of KIIT University as chief guest on September 9. During the ceremony, the varsity will confer the degree of D.Litt. & D.Sc. (Honoris Causa) to Lyonchhen Jigmi Y. Thinley, Farooq Wardak, Minister of education, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary of state, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, Government of Cambodia, Ham Kee-Sun, President, Hanseo University, South Korea and Baidyanath Mishra, economist & former vice-Chancellor, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology(OUAT). Along with the honorary degrees, the private university will distribute various degrees to the graduating students of different schools of KIIT University, including first pass out batch of KIIT Law School. Degrees would also be awarded to more than 20 Ph.D. scholars of the varsity, said a release.
