Cellular User Base Records Highest Growth In August

The cellular subscriber base in the country touched 8.17 million with a record addition of 480,000 new users in August. The previous best in terms of month-on-month addition was 370,000 in March 2002.

The subscriber base grew 6.24 per cent in August from 7.69 million in July.
