Congress leaders demand Kumaraswamy's resignation

| Senior congress leaders demanded, here on Thursday, resignation of Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and a CBI inquiry into the charges against him. |
| Former minister H Viswanath said following a series of charges against Kumaraswamy, his government had lost credibility. |
| The coalition government had no moral right to stay in power. |
| The chief minister was failing to reply to the charges levelled against him, including the one levelled by Congress leader DK Shivakumar, who had shown the records of purchase of a prime property by Deve Gowda's family members. |
| Former prime minister HD Deve Gowda had publicly said in 2004 that he was going to the elections without any money in his pocket. |
| He had also stated that he did not know how many zeroes a crore had. |
| How did they get Rs 36 crore within a few months? Viswamath asked. |
