Dept of Posts ties up with BharatMatrimony

The Department of Posts has entered into an agreement with BharatMatrimony.com Pvt Limited to sell membership scratch cards and registration forms of the online marriage service portal.

Addressing a press conference, Vatasala Raghu, principal chief postmaster general, Tamil Nadu circle, said that this would be another value-added service provided by the post offices.

Murugavel, CEO, BharatMatrimony.com, said that the tie up with the Department of Posts would not only strengthen the portal's retail network but would also add to its credibility.

Initially, the service will be available at all the head post offices across the country. The Department of Posts, Government of India, has 22 circles and each circle has a head post office and a nodal office. At present, two membership packages "" Classic and Classic Super "" will be available at the head post offices.

The Classic package is priced at Rs 1,190 for three months, Rs 1,740 for six months and Rs 2,490 for nine months. The Classic Super is available at Rs 1,750; Rs 2,620 and Rs 3,810 for three, six and nine months respectively.
