ESIC's new hospitals in Hyd

The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), which provides health insurance for employees of registered organisations earning up to Rs 15,000 a month, is setting a 126-bed super speciality hospital at Sanathnagar, offering treatment in cardiovascular disease, neuro sciences, paediatrics, and urology.

In addition, it is setting up a post-graduate medical college and research centre at its Sanathnagar premises and a dental hospital at Nacharam. The AP regional unit of ESIC, which is celebrating 60 years of its existence this year, has entered into an agreement with 27 private super speciality hospitals for free treatment of the insured.

It has also tied up with 53 super speciality hospitals for providing cashless treatment to the insured employees. It also allows them a choice of hospital throughout the country from the list put up on its website at .
