Gokaldas Unveils Enamor Brand

Gokaldas Intimatewear Private Limited, a joint venture between Banagalore-based Rs 350 crore Gokaldas Images group and French lingerie company Barbara, formally launched its Enamor brand bras and panties here today.
The launch in Hyderabad is the second after Bangalore in a series of rollouts across the country over the next one year, said Piyush Jindal, the chief executive officer of Gokaldas Intimatewear.
Combining the strengths of Gokaldas Images in the garment industry and the style for which Barbara is known in more than 70 countries, Enamor would offer Indian women lingerie in a range of styles, sizes and colours that will be recognised for fit and quality, Piyush said.

The Indian lingerie market, valued at about Rs 1,600 crore, has been growing at an annual growth rate of 12 per cent.
Within this, the medium to high end of the market where Enamor is positioned is estimated to be over Rs 160 crore.
