Gujarat's World Trade Center ties-up with industry bodies

WTC signs pacts with GCA, GSPMA and GPA to promote SMEs

Gujarat’s first World Trade Center (WTC) coming up at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) has entered into pact with Gujarat Chemical Association (GCA), Gujarat Pharmaceutical Association (GPA)  and Gujarat State Plastic Manufacturers’ Association (GSPMA) to promote trade  and investment opportunities for members of these associations.

WTC-GIFT City has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with these associations through World Trade Center India Services Council (WTCIS). World Trade Center through its World Trade Center Services arm, Verbind stimulates trade and investment opportunities in India by serving as an 'international ecosystem' of global connections, and trade infrastructure and integrated trade services under the umbrella brand.
 

"The purpose of these MOUs is to foster and grow trade, increase international connectivity & competitiveness and facilitate investment in small & medium enterprises (SMEs). WTC’s main focus is on SMEs and it endeavors to promote business, trade, investments, and global connects for them by arranging delegations from within and outside India, holding conferences, forums, seminars, training and would also provide accelerator facilities," a statement here said.

“The MOUs with these industry associations of Gujarat are important to promote the industry, the businesses, the respective sectors which are represented by these associations and to provide them global access and local access to global network in relation to the industry for facilitating inbound and outbound Investment, matchmaking for joint ventures, technology adoption and transfer, etc.,” said Khair Ull Nissa, director, WTCIS.

Tushar Parikh, president, GSPMA said, “With the possibility of promotion of exchange of visits of delegates from and to Gujarat, the members would be able to expand trade and industrial relations outside state and country.”

WTC is present in 330 cities in 100 different countries of the world.
