Our Bureau Chennai/ Bangalore
The discussion will focus on the 200 acre land required for the project.

"The government had selected land for the project in Sarjapur. But the association is keen on a site near the upcoming Devanahalli international airport. We will provide all facilities to them since we want investments," small scale industries and sericulture minister Katta Subrahmanya Naidu told reporters here on Friday.

The association is also in favour of granting SEZ status to the proposed park.

"Their project envisages Rs 15,000 crore investment and exports worth Rs 10,000 crore every year. The association intends to set up 3,000 diamond cutting and polishing and jewellery units which will provide employment to 70,000 people," the minister added.

The Park will also have a Diamond Cutting Training Centre, a marketing mall, a residential complex and a permanent expo of gems and jewellery, he added.
