Kareena to adorn royal jewellery made in Rajkot

After designing a gold ring for the new born baby in Bachchan family, Rajkot-based Kruti Jewellers are now set to create a designer royal dress jewellery set for film actor Kareena Kapoor.
Describing the jewellery set, Pradeep Kansara, owner of Rajkot-based Kruti Jewellers said that the set will be a "full dress necklace with a length of head to waist".
The city-based jewellery firm has received an order from Kareena's jewellers in Mumbai fro design and making a 400 gm gold and gem jewellery set. "We have received special order from a Mumbai based jewellery firm for Kareena Kapoor. It's a unique designer set which is generally used for royal weddings," said Kansara, refusing to divulge name of the Mumbai-based jeweller.
On its part, Kruti Jewellers will be using diamonds and other precious gem stones along with gold for designing and creating the necklace set. According to Kansara, the total cost of the set will be more than Rs 40 lakh wherein the gold, diamonds and gems stones will be sourced from Mumbai. "Some more jewellery items orders may come to us but at present we are fully focused on this dress necklace piece. We will deliver the set within two months as it is very lengthy and will require ample hand work. However, along with dress necklace, bangles and some other jewellery order may come to us," he added. While Kansara refused to charge anything for Bachchan's gold ring, for Kareena's dress necklace, he will charging five per cent of gold price.
The Rajkot-based jewellery firm is very prominent for its exclusive jewellery work for celebrities. Owned by two Kansara brothers, the family business of goldsmiths is in its fourth generation and makes only hand crafted jewellery and gift items. Earlier, Kruti Jewellers made a gold ring for Sachin Tendulkar. About 25 years ago, Kansara had also designed a three feet long guitar for Amitabh Bachchan, apart from gifting an archery set to BJP leader L. K. Advani.
It may also be noted here that Kansara alongwith his brother Kishore Kansara had designed a four kg gold love letter for a Mumbai-based client which earned him a nomination in Guinness World Records.
The two Kansara brothers are a fourth generation goldsmiths and make only hand crafted jewellery and gift items.
