Kmc Hauls Up Ubi For Trade Licence Lapse

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has alleged that all the branches of United Bank of India (UBI) located in its areas including the head office were running without valid trade licences, the certificate of establishment required under Section 199 (1) and the KMC Act 1980.

KMC today put up notices at UBI branches and headquarters at 16 Government Place (East). Although the amount due to KMC from the bank was nominal, Kolkata
