Nasdaq surges 45pts; Satyam ADR zooms 12%

The Dow Jones industrial average advanced 109 points to 13,676. The Nasdaq surged 45 points to 2799.

The Indian ADRs ended with significant gains. Satyam zoomed 12% to $30.23. Sterlite, Wipro, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, MTNL, VSNL, Tata Motors and Dr.Reddy's rallied 4-8% each to $22.05, $15.80, $59.88, $117.08, $9.25, $27.13, $20.17 and $16.43, respectively. Infosys moved up 1.7% to $50.49.
