Nearly $13 bn spent by Indians to study abroad

Nearly $13 billion is being drained out from the country every year as about 4.5 lakh students are pursuing higher studies in foreign countries, a report by a leading consulting firm has said.
The report, brought out by Franchise India in association with Indian Franchise Association, has said capacity constraints in higher education are the prime cause for the outflow of students from the country.
