Sierra Atlantic, Us Co In Pact

Sierra Atlantic has signed a distribution agreement with VSN International of UK to distribute the latter's Genstat software packages which are used for statistical data analysis.

The UK company is a new joint venture between two UK -based majors -- Numerical Algorithms Group and ICAR-Rothamsted.

Genstat is a product developed by the company that offers a widest range of quality statistics through familiar and user friendly graphical interface, a release said.

Speaking on the occasion, the British minister for Trade and Industry, Patricia Hewitt informed that the new partnership is a direct consequence of the effort of the TradePartners UK team in India, which operates from trade offices and British High Commissions across the country.

 

The seed was sown when VSN commissioned a report in February 2002 and TPUK team identified Sierra Atlantic as a potential partner, Hewitt, who was here to participate in the CII Partnership Summit explained.
