Usha Breco Denies Negligence In Ropeway Mishap

Though Usha Breco is in charge of the ropeway operations at Pawagadh in the Panchmahals, Suresh Sharma, who is in charge of the operations, on Sunday indicated that a sabotage led to the incident which cost seven lives.

On Monday, senior company officials, however, denied to comment on the sabotage factor. They said there was no negligence on the part of Usha Breco, which has been operating the system for last 16 years at Pawagadh, and it has always maintained safety measures without any compromise.

Immediately after the incident, Sharma had said that a sabotage had led to the incident but when contacted on Monday, he denied to talk on the issue and referred the matter to senior officials who have reached Vadodara on Monday morning from Kolkata and Bangalore.

 

However, senior police officers including inspector-general of police, M K Tandon denied to comment on the cause of the incident on Monday, saying,
