Women lawyers conference in Nashik

A two-day women lawyers state-level conference is being held here from today.

Retired Supreme Court Justice Sujata Manohar will inagurate the conference in the presence of National Women Commission's former member Nirmala Sitaraman, Justice Roshan Dalvi and Sadhana Jadhav, said Indrayani Patani, president of Maharashtra Federation of Women laywers organisation here.

About 800 woman lawyers from all over state are participating in the event to be held in city's Kalidas Kala mandir to discuss important issues like strict implmentation of current laws, changes in laws to protect women and formulation of new laws, Patani said.
