Karat pins hopes on secular front

CPM general secretary Prakash Karat expects secular parties to forge an alliance in the aftermath of the polls to challenge both Congress and the BJP.
"We expect all secular parties who are fighting against the Congress and BJP in the current elections will be in the secular democratic alliance. The secular democratic alliance would take shape only after the elections," he told the media.
He was here to campaign for his party's candidates contesting the Lok Sabha and state assembly seat in Berhampur. Ridiculing the claim of BJP on Modi wave, the CPM leader said the saffron party would be far behind to get the majority to form the government at the Centre.
