"Parivartan" programme for SBI Chandigarh circle employees

Over 8,100 employees of State Bank of India across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Chandigarh would participate in "Parivartan", a mass internal communication programme.

Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K and Union Territory of Chandigarh constitute the Chandigarh Circle of State Bank of India. At present 22 per cent of all the employees in these states have already been trained under the programme.

Hemant Contractor, chief general manager, Chandigarh Circle, said that it attempts to bring about a mind set change in employees who have worked in a non competitive, monopolistic, public sector environment for decades.

This would help the bank to compete with the private sector banks.
