Iffco-Tokio snaps ties with Kribhco

| Iffco-Tokio General Insurance company (ITGI) has announced its dis-association with Krishak Bharathi Cooperative Ltd (KRIBHCO) for the sale of Sankat Haran Policy. This will be in effect from January 1, 2006. |
| Henceforth, IFFCO-TOKIO will not have any liability on KRIBHCO's fertiliser bags. However, ITGI's Sankat Haran Policy will be available with Indian Farmer's Fertiliser Co-operative (Iffco) and Indian Potash Ltd (IPL) products, said officials. |
| ITGI's Sankat Haran Policy is a personal accident insurance for the farmers. |
| It was launched by ITGI in October 2001. The policy covers physical injury or death due to any accident caused by external, violent and visible means. |
| According to the policy, a farmer will receive Rs 4,000 insurance cover with purchase of 25 kg fertiliser bag of Iffco and Indian Potash. The premium for the cover is paid by the fertiliser company. |
