Rajasthan Bank opens first branch in Himachal

The Bank of Rajasthan has entered Himachal Pradesh by opening its first branch in this resort town here.

The branch of the Bank of Rajasthan is located near the crowded Subzi Mandi in downtown Shimla. It was inaugurated on Saturday by the bank's Deputy Managing Director Vinod Juneja.

"Founded in 1943 the bank is the oldest private sector bank in the country and has 425 offices across the country," Juneja said.

"Making full use of the Internet, we've recently provided 'anywhere banking' facility as all our branches are inter-connected by the Internet," he said.
