RBI RATE HIKE: Not a surprise says PM Panel

A panel headed by the prime minister has said the RBI rate hike does not come as a surprise and that it reflects liquidity tightness.

Talking of the oil price hike, the panel said the direct impact of the price hikes on inflation is 0.4%, adding there will be no roll back of oil price hike.
