Re ends weak at 46.36/$

Outlook
The rupee is expected to open between 46.34 and 46.38 against the dollar on Thursday.

Sentiment: Bearish

• The rupee opened at 46.34 per dollar and ended lower on 46.36. It touched an intraday low of 46.42.
• Premiums on forward dollars ended flat. Annualised premiums on six-month and one-year dollars closed at 2.70 per cent and 2.42 per cent respectively.

Money market

Sentiment: Bearish

• Government security prices slid following the announcement of auction cut-off rate.
• Despite opening higher, the prices fell by almost one rupee across the board.
• The yield on the ten-year benchmark paper, 7.37 per cent 2014, ended at 6.60 per cent.
• Call money rates were comfortable at 4.20-30 per cent.
• Subscriptions at the repo window stood at Rs 20,000 crore.
