SBBJ net jumps two fold at Rs 147 cr

Public sector bank State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur (SBBJ) today said its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, jumped two fold to Rs 147.30 crore, over the same period last year.

The bank had a net profit of Rs 65.31 crore in the quarter ended June 2008, SBBJ said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The bank's income rose to Rs 1,103.81 crore for the June quarter this fiscal against Rs 999.95 crore in the same quarter last year.

Shares of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur were trading at Rs 354.25 on the BSE, up 4.99 per cent from the previous close.
