State Bank of Hyderabad net up

Public sector lender State Bank of Hyderabad on Wednesday said its net profit rose 8.93 per cent to Rs 220.98 crore for the third quarter ended December over the year-ago period.

Total income declined to Rs 1,788.40 crore against Rs 1,795.97 crore during the same period a year ago, the bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. For the nine months ended December 31, 2009, the company posted a net profit of Rs 565.58 crore against Rs 443.52 crore for the same period last financial year.
