Thane Janata Bank to open 12 new branches by March 2012

Thane Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd. (TJSB), a multi-state scheduled bank, is planning to open 12 new branches at select locations by the end of next FY 2011-12. The Bank is eyeing 20 per cent year-on-year business growth for the next two years.

The bank recently opened its new branch at Raviwar Karanja area in Nashik. The bank has now 53 branches and one extension counters spread all over the city if Thane, Mumbai, Nashik, Pune and Satara.

“We are planning to open 12 new branches by March 2012 at select locations, including Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Latur, Belgaon and Goa. Two branches will be opened by March 2011, while rest of the 10 branches will be opened in the next FY 2011-12,” Vidyadhar Vaishampayan, Chairman, TJSB, told Business Standard.

 

“The bank registered a business turn over of Rs 4,800 crore in FY 2009-10. We are eyeing 20 per cent year-on-year growth for the next two years,” he said.

The bank has successfully implemented the Core Banking Solution that has helped the Bank to migrate the branches from being the processing centres to marketing customer centric outfits. The bank aims to extend its reach to its customers by multiple delivery channels such as ATM, Internet and mobile.
