UBI net zooms 218%

Union Bank of India (UBI) Q2 net zoomed 217.77% to Rs 194.16 crore as against Rs 133.06 crore in the Q2FY06.

According to a release issued by the bank to the BSE today, the bank's total income for the quarter ended September 2006 rose 25.9% to Rs 1,964.13 crore when compared with Rs 1,560.44 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
