Vijaya Bank net up 36%

Vijaya Bank today reported 36.3% surge in its Q2 net at Rs 102.33 crore as against Rs 75.05 crore in the Q2FY06.

According to a release issued by the bank to the BSE today, the bank's total income for the quarter ended September 2006 rose 12.1% to Rs 745.99 crore when compared with Rs 665.50 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Further the bank has declared a interim dividend of 10%, ie a payout of Re 1 per share.
