Xavier Durand is new CEO at GE Capital Asia Pacific

Xavier Durand has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GE Capital Asia Pacific region.

He is replacing Steve Sargent, who was appointed President and CEO of GE Australia and New Zealand, GE Capital said in a statement.

Durand, based in Tokyo, Japan, will be reporting to Mike Neal, Chairman and CEO, GE Capital and Vice Chairman, General Electric Company, it said.
    
GE Capital Asia Pacific, which includes India as well, serves more than 15 million businesses and consumers in the region, it added.
