Aluminium remains under pressure

Aluminium futures declined by 0.18% to Rs 114.75 per kg today as speculators trimmed their positions amid a weak demand in the spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, December aluminium edged lower by 20 paise, or 0.18%, to Rs 114.05 per kg, with a business turnover of 296 lots.

The January metal fell by 15 paise, or 0.13% to Rs 114.75 per kg in a turnover of 16 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in aluminium prices at futures trade to weak demand in the spot markets but gains in metals at the London Metal Exchange, limited the losses.
